On the day of Ganesh Puja Hindus worship the elephant God.

Today is Ganesh Chaturthi or Ganesh puja for the Hindus. For 10 days Hindus worship the elephant God. Lord Ganesha's mud idols are given flowers and fruits and for 10 days arati is done in the evening when mantras are chanted with the couch being used and lighting around the mud idol of Lord Ganesha is done. I also do Ganesh Puja at home.
