Once one reaches 50 plus two eye issues crop up - cataract and ARMN - age related macular degeneration While the cataract issue can be resolved by surgery the macular degeneration is something that cannot be reversed but kept in check by taking supplements. Cataract shows up when the sight is cloudy and as for ARMD the images are wonky. When it happens with only one eye it cannot be detected and so it is important that checking is done one eye at a time.

I had cataract surgery over 10 years ago. I hope ARMN doesn´t come near me yet.

You can check by just looking at the window rods. If they are straight all is fine. It should be one eye at a time.

I have had no changes to my eyes and they remain strong, I take off my glasses to read and to look at fine print,

To check the macula degeneration one needs to look with one eye at a time and if what you see that way is not wonky all is fine You will be fine I am sure.

It should be noted, this won't happen to everyone. And, those with existing eye conditions might not notice... depending on what the vision loss was to start with.

It does not happen to every one and those with existing eye issues should also get their eyes checked one at a time.

To check for ARMD you need to look at may be window rods one eye at a time just to clear doubts. Even the tv screen will be fine If the view is not wonky (one eye at a time) you are fine and I am sure you will be fine

I need to go for an eye test. I tend to avoid facing up to issues like this. I never had perfect eyesight but it was good enough. But suddenly I found that I struggled to read small print and maps in dim light.

I have had cataract surgery on both eyes (I'm no longer nearsighted!), but I have Glaucoma which is kept at bay with eye drops. Many years ago I had eye injections for AMD, but haven't had any issues with it for a long time now. Praise God!
