Here I am, fully clothed and fully chilled waiting for the vaccuum cleaner. There´s a mail from the place where I bought it that has a place where I clicked and they told me it was being sent. When? Who knows! It is already out of the warehouse but I´m sure that theey fill a truck with all sorts of things before the truck or van starts. Since the pandemia started, I have even received things on a Sunday or holiday. All of the workers are immigrants. I´m sure that they pay them less and make them work in odd hours When I think about immigrants, I have different sorts of feelings. I know that here they are better in many ways than in their own countries. But I also know than in many places they exploit them. Still, the supermarkets here have changed their products to meet the necessities of them. And when I want to the Farmers market just before the pandemia, I could see many smiling Black faces that offered me their products in Spanish but talked between them in creole. Other immigrants have other jobs here. Uber cars are run mainly by people from Venezuela and I saw many of then waiting at tables in elegant restaurants. Other immigrants are already mixed with the rest of the population. And many now have been able to have their own business. Now I´ll go and check for the vaccuum cleaner to arrive. I discovered yesterday why my bell did not ring and I will have to buy another. See you.
