The Clock Tower is a turret clock structure at the north-eastern end of the Houses of Parliament building in Westminster, London. It is colloquially and popularly known as Big Ben, however this name actually belongs to the clock's main bell. The tower has also been incorrectly referred to as St. Stephen's Tower.

I am not from London but had to study this college. It is a very interesting structure for the whole world to see and admire. Stevew gave the correct answer about the history of the clock. I hope to visit it this summer while in that area. I have heard it is awesome to see.
