I have all of the sudden seen woman wearing black to weddings! Why?
A wedding is supposed to be a festive occasion.
So why wear black?
At weddings I have been at woman always wore a bright color like yellow, light green, red or blue, pink. I just don't see why this is the new style for a happy day.

I don’t like seeing people wearing black in weddings and really bright red.

True. As a guest, i don’t want to take the attention away from the bride by dressing loud. @dfollin

I wouldn't know. When my husband and I married, we did it at the courthouse and I wore a cami and a pair of jeans, and he wore his dad's lucky shirt and a pair of slacks.

My husband and I got married in a church because I insisted. I wore an old short white dress and just before the ceremony the zipper ripped, lol. We pressed it together to make it thru the ceremony. And I was drying his only dress pants in the laundry room and someone stole them. So he wore his nicest work pants (he was a plumber).

Probably depends on the brides allowing it or not. This is 2021.
