Russia in my peripheral vision since last night when I decided to watch again Tom Clancy's movie version of 'The Hunt for Red October.' It's a fictitious Jack Ryan of the CIA novel about the agent desperately trying to reach an amphibious US warfare ordered to annihilate a USSR silent submarine the captain of which was attempting defection. Talk about the waters that seem to occupy the vast expanse of the globe, and the submarines that delve into the depths of the ocean to avoid sonar detection, an AUKUS alliance of submarine came to birth yesterday to stand against China in the South China Sea. AUKUS is the brainchild of Scott Morrison, Boris Johnson, and Joe Biden. These whiteheads are probably bringing a potential war away from Europe. Believe it, those war fleets are touring my peaceful corner of the Pacific after China reclaimed lands in our shoal and installed a missile base. Ugghhh! Back to the Soviet Union, which, by the way, has disintegrated to war torn states after the glasnost and perestroika of1989, only Russia remains adamant in conquering other nations, as it did miserably to Afghanistan, now a nation of terrorists ruling, Russia's leadership, the name of which could have been a derivative of the evil Rasputin, is in isolation because the inner circle all tested positive for the coronavirus. But of course, he tested negative. Blaaaah! A positive result for the Russian strong man means loss of strength and vulnerability to attack! Duhhhh! I'd like to tell why the title but that would spoil your viewing. The Hunt for Red October is on netflix. But here's a documentary of a real event that became the basis for the novel.
