The criminal will be caught and arrested. Every criminal tends to think he will never be caught, but that will be only his assumption. No person is above the law.
Not only crime, but we also pay the price for our day to day mean activities. Each person has to suffer the consequences

Only going to jail and getting sentenced for the crime is not the punishment.
Even if the criminal runs away and is not caught by police ...he have to pay price for it in his day to day life.
Noone can run from punishment for their evil doing whether be it in court of humans or God.
He or she will have to face it

The criminal thinks the consequences will not strike him.
The criminal is very careful regarding his crime , so he thinks he will never be caught.

I agree that crime has a penalty someday somewhere, but it may not be under the arm of the law always.
