Family doctor

With speciality being the name of the game these days the family doctor concept is slowly dying
With every organ in our body having some doctor for consultation how can a family doctor survive. In the good old days most had a family doctor. We had one too. He was in the neighbourhood. We could just rush there and bring him home. Home visits are a thing of the past.
At the moment we have a couple of doctors who we can contact for minor ailments and they are available on the phone

I do have one.
She seems to be very friendly.
Not great efficient however.
I know what you mean, and even here they like to refer you to specialist for the most smallest treatable minor thing.

I still have a family doctor that I go see. If needed she will send me to a specialist.

@wolfgirl569 That is what the world thinks. General practitioners are good enough but there is more money in becoming specialists.

Panel doctors keep changing. One does not have to be rich to have a doctor who is attached to families

@jstory07 I meant that We all need one for small ailments and even big ones if they have all the equipment to test and stuff.
