We do not get Fall colours but have several flowering trees. Peltophorum is one such. We have one next to our property and it will soon flower.
There is yet another tree - Gulmohr with red and orange flowers. It sheds all its leaves and one sees loads of flowers. They bloom around May. They are also known as May flowers.
What flowering trees do you have?

In the month of May Gulmohar is a striking flower tree. Known as Krishna chura in Bengal. In May, mostly on the plains of North Bengal we see another May flower, whose flower is light pink, known also as Mother Mary's Bouquet as it blooms in May ,dedicated as Mary's month among Christians. And so , they also call gulmohar as Joseph's bouquet. I'll try to find a picture.

That's lovely. We had row of Gulmohar trees on both sides of road outside our apartment. It was a long stretch and looked beautiful during flowering season. Now all of that is gone with expansion of road and metro construction.

Development in the name of progress in other words is disaster. I simply hate that.
