Sad Day

It should be a happy day. We finished Rookie School last night. Graduated you could say.
Pictures went up and the congrats and "we're proud of you" are still coming in.
However this morning I found out that a good friend passed away late August and I never knew.
I looked around because there was no way our mutual friend could be right. We just talked and she was going to start the Mortal Instruments series.
She called me a brat because I was getting a silly song suck in her head.
She can't be gone.
Sadly she is. I should be happy today but instead I can't seem to stop crying because I didn't know. Because I really did loose a very good friend.
Tracy was just awesome and I kept telling her she'd pull through. That what she was going through wasn't going to last.
This was not what I meant.
It wasn't supposed to be this way.

So sorry to hear about your friend. It's not fair that people in our lives can be taken from us so quickly and without notice. My prayers go out to you in your time of mourning.

I can see why you would be sad because of the loss of a friend and not knowing about it. That must have been hard to find out that they were gone and you could not say goodbye. Even though you feel sad still want to say congrats.
