Okay this story does have a bittersweet ending since six year old boy Alex Hill who is currently recovering from being hit in the head by a small rock that flew out of a lawnmower while Alex was at recess at Riverview Elementary in Silver Lake Wisconsin on September 10. The lawnmower released a small rock 70 feet away that hit Alex while the operator of the lawnmower was working on a median. After the first grader was struck in the head, he was taken by helicopter to Children's Wisconsin where doctors removed a piece of his skull that was lodged in his brain. Michelle Koertgen who is Alex's aunt mentioned the good news that her nephew woke up from his coma. Alex is not exactly out of the woods yet since he is battling some brain swelling. The timetable for the severity of the damage will take a few months to determine if he will be able to walk again since the damage to his body is on his right side. My belief is that through the power of prayer, Alex will make a full recovery from the near deadly accident that happened over two weeks ago. My belief is that since Alex has a positive view of life, he will beat this challenge.

@RebeccasFarm I have seen movies when a mom was killed when a small rock struck her in a movie called "Final Destination."

@KristenH I am sure that the lawnmower driver may have paid Alex a visit after the accident to say he was sorry.

I work in a child care institute. I have to be ever alert to avoid such accidents. I also pray for protection from any harm.

The report sources from the news station did not mention anything about the lawn mower operator.
