This story is kind of odd since it is rare for a person to read a book called "The Outsiders" to the point where the reader Jo Ellen Misakian who was a resident in Fresno California at the time would ask persons close to her to send a copy of the book to a publisher in New York City and to film director Frances Ford Coppola in Hollywood to read the book.
Frances was impressed after reading the book to the point where he agreed to make a movie based on the book that was filmed in Tulsa Oklahoma where Jo kept in touch with the producers of the movie which showed the city of Tulsa in a positive light to the point where Danny O' Connor purchased property in Tulsa and open The Outsiders Museum in 2019.
Tulsa Mayor G. T. Bynum gave Jo the Key To The City on Sunday as a way to thank Jo for getting "The Outsiders" movie filmed in Tulsa in 1982 and released in theaters in 1983.
To think of this event happened before the internet era began.

The 80s were a different time, people had a different mindset back then.

That is very true. Today people on social media are rude and do not understand what "No" means.

It is hard to believe that the great era felt like yesterday.
