A day of proportions

The day started off like any other, getting the kids off to school, checking the email, and typing the odd posts here and there on mylot. Things get interesting when our eldest daughter comes home to tell us the girl who punched her friend earlier last week and then stomped on my daughter's hand later last week shows up on crutches at school today Her mother said to my daughter to help her daughter out if she needed help. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????!!!! That is like having a dog bite you and then the owner asking you to feed the same dog that terrorized the neighbors. My daughter and this girl have had a frenemy relationship for years and I feel my daughter should not be put into the situation of babysitting a person she can't stand who has on more than one occasion caused my daughter to get into trouble . I think my daughter has every right to tell that girl's mother to go take a flying leap into the Mississippi River and don't stop swimming till she hits her head on a rock down south where her incestual roots come from. On many occasions, I have walked past her home and seen the backyard looking like a poorly kept junkyard. When you walk past the property which backs onto a public Alleyway you half expect the junkyard dog from The Sandlot to coming running out of nowhere. I am not usually judgemental but when it comes to my kids I will be as judgemental as I need to be to stand up and protect my kids from that girl and her family.

i found it fitting as the Mississippi River flows down south where the rednecks live and the whole family from mother to daughter all act like rednecks

You are doing the right thing and your daughter has every right to tell the mother to just Fck off! That girl sounds like trouble and your daughter should stay away from her.

You have every right to as a parent to do just that. In fact, you wouldn't be a good one if you weren't so protective of your kids. Of course you need to allow them to grow, but at the same time.... this girl is bad news.
