Day 114 2 Chronicles 6:24 And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house; 25 Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gave to them and to their fathers. Do you find yourself in an unfamiliar place? Do you have unexplained trouble? Solomon continued his dedication prayer for the temple with a focus on trouble with their enemies. He didn’t discount the possibility of their enemies taking them captive away from the home God gave them. Solomon asked God to hear His people when they confessed their sin and prayed toward the temple, forgive them, and bring them home. As Christians, your enemy is Satan, who causes people to bring trouble your way. He wants you to forget God’s promise to keep you safe from your enemies. When you recognize Satan’s attack, check your relationship with Jesus Christ. Confess your sin and ask God to forgive you for straying and return to God. He will forgive you and bring you back into a right relationship with Him. Let’s pray: Father, help me recognize Satan’s attack when I sin against You and stray from Your side. Forgive me and bring me back into a right relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 4 October 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay.
