Bagbazar Durga puja creates traditional idol of Goddess Durga. / myLot

In Kolkata in India Bagbazar Durgapuja has idols of Goddess Durga made in traditional style. In bengali the decoration is called Daker Saaj. Dak means post and saaj means weapons and accessories of the idols. Due to covid restrictions visitors will be restricted. But durga puja will be conducted following Hindu rituals.

thanks Nawsheen the puja will start from 11th October presently the idol is brought and puja committees fearing rains have brought idols of Goddesses early.

Bagbazar has a history and people throng at this pandal. This year inspite of the pandemic people are in the mood of throwing away the restrictions.
