Do you use Chrome extensions?

I have about 10 of them I think, most of them are related to shopping, a couple are checking into certain sites to earn points that can be exchanged for gift cards. I have a password saver etc. I had a few of them I had turned off, and I just deleted them. I know all these sites are no doubt collecting my data, but I also have something that is supposed to monitor how it is being used and not allowing tracking so maybe it really works..not sure.

Yes when needed like adblockers, etc. But I don't use much this broswer becuase it slows down my laptop. I usually use firefox and edge. And same rules apply... I used some extensions depending on my needs.

@snowy22315 Oh! I see. Thank you for the clarifications. I thought you only have those extensions for online shopping.

@snowy22315 I am not great with tech stuff. I have heard of Chrome Extensions but couldn't tell you if I am using them or not. It would be great to feel like what we use is safe from hackers and things like that but never know with the scammers / thieves out there with their technology and knowledge.

If someone is determined to get into your computer, not really sure there is much you can do to thwart them. There are so many ways they can gain access.

Yes, I do, usually those extensions are related to the sites I work with.

I think Chrome is using too much bandwidth so it slows down my device's performance.

Too many extensions slows down my chrome, so I keep them at a bare minimum (2 or 3 precisely). BTW, I am a programmer myself and can create / reverse engineer extensions on my own if I really need one.

Why did you stop? Are you just using a different browser now?
