A rescue story of an elderly woman trapped inside her auto in a floodwater

Birmingham Alabama police officers Burnett and Evans were in an area in Norwood on Wednesday evening when they saw an auto underwater since there was a severe rainstorm in the area that same evening. Both police officers then went to see if anyone was inside the auto that was underwater from the floods when they found an elderly lady who was out like a light inside of her auto. One of the officers contacted 911 to ask for help from the local firefighters to assist them in assisting the two police officers to assist the elderly lady who had no pulse and not breathing at all. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue firefighters used CPR to revive her after a few short minutes. The elderly lady regained consciousness as she was being taken to the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital where she is expected to recover. I am sure that Officers Burnett and Evans will be rewarded in a public ceremony at police headquarters for their act of bravery saving a life of a person who came close to death in a flooded street in Norwood.
