My friends are mad at me because I watched Squid Game in english dub

Squid game dominated Televisions around the world. This Korean show is now the most talked about show. I watched it and I enjoyed it. When I confessed to my friends that I watched it in English dub instead of Korean with English subtitles they got mad at me. They said I should watch it with the original voices of the actors so I can see their impressive acting.
Well I watched Anime in Japanese dub with English subtitles because there is no english dub options. Netflix gave me the English dub option so it is my right to watch without the need of subtitles.
I do watch foreign shows and movies in subtitles if there is no dub option. I want to watch while I am on a treadmill so subtitles will be distracting.
I can understand hatred of dub if its the 90s but modern dubs are good. Some voice actors can even mimic the original actors.
I am a voice actor myself and I support fellow voice actors so I watch dub. Stop hating on dub because dub made people open minded to watch foreign content.

Nothing wrong with how you watched it..they can take a hike.
I like dub too.
I have passed this by a lot of times..maybe Ill take another look at it now.

I am sure this is the number one show in the world now because having a dub option made people who don't watch foreign content consider watching.

We just binge watched this weekend . . . we did the same as you and watched it with the English dub 
. I usually hate dubs too, but it was mostly good with Squid Game, right? It wasn't oddly translated like they often are with long time ago movies.

I think only three characters have bad voice acting. Min-nyeo and the Sang Woo's mom and Gi-hun's mom are the only bad voice actors. Their roles are not that big anyway.

I love dubs, myself. I rely on them because subs are hard for me to read. I constantly need to pause, and sometimes backgrack to read the titles.
Ignore what you your friends think. You should watch things the way you want to watch them.

This show wont be as successful as it was if only the subs people watch it. The dub help increase the audience,

I don't judge them for loving to read subtitles, they should not judge me if I want to watch something in a language I understand.
