Green children of Woolpit, England

I do not remember how or when I first heard this story, but I am interested in these kind of stories. The story took place back in the 12 century. As the story goes; it was during harvest time when somebody found the 2 young kids roaming around in the woods. The only differences that the person could tell about the kids was that they had green colored skin and they spoke a different language. Since the person did not know very much about the kids; he took them home to see if his family could help them out. Shortly after the kids was found; the young boy died. The young girl lived a lot longer after that. After the young girl learned the language of Woolpit; she told them that she came from a place called Saint Martin. She also said that the placed she lived was like living in a constant twilight. The people back then does not know exactly where the kids came from because there was no place on earth called Saint Martin at that time. There are some people today that believes that the kids comes from a group of people that lives somewhere in the inner earth. I do not know the full story about the kids, but it is still a good mystery to me.
