It took a while but at first, when Michael and Lindy Chamberlain took their three children camping near Uluru in the Northern Territory in August 1980 they returned with only two children. Their children are Aidan, Reagan, and Azaria who was only 9 weeks old. When tragedy struck Lindy they mom told authorities that Azaria had been taken from the tent by a dingo, a wild Australian dog. Authorities were very doubtful of the story and even imprisoned Lindy for murdering her daughter even though no body was found. When in 1986 a hiker fell from Uluru the large rock he discovered the dress Azaria had been wearing when last alive and it was found near a dingo den. Turned out mom's story was correct and in 2012 Azaria's death certificate was changed to death by a dingo. The parents have been divorced, they had one more daughter who had to be raised by foster families until mom was pardoned when she was 3 years old. All the children are now grown up and married.

This is a terrible story, how heart wrenching that the entire family suffered for this heinous attack. The mother being imprisoned, for murdering her baby! It's unthinkable, how painful this was for her:(

@kobesbuddy even worse to give birth to a third child a girl and she get raised by foster families for a while. Now that everyone is grown up they do get together so that is good news.

I have heard several stories like this one over the years. It is sad for the family to loose a child like this.
