Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. Today is the festival of Dussehra celebrated by Hindus in India. It celebrates the victory of good over evil. The day culminates a nine day fasting period of Navratri. It also is the day of immersion of goddess Durga. The day is celebrated to commemorate the killing of Ravana by lord Ram. Every year, a statue of Ravana is made and some or other person dresses up as Rama and burns the statue by throwing arrows. The significance of this festival embarks on removing all the evil which is there outside as well as inside us and to lead a right path. On this day, people in India especially in Gujarat, eat jalebis i.e a traditional Indian dessert. I just like to share the significance of this festival with you all. Have a good day! Take care!!
