Locked out

So tonight I decided to go out and get KFC. Dad was watching TV and Jane was back in the bedroom. I went to the local KFC not more than 5 minutes away. As I'm in the drive thru I thought, "I hope Dad doesn't get it in his head to lock the door". I don't have a key, and I didn't bring theirs. Naaaahhhh... Get home with the chicken and the porch light is out and the door is no longer open a crack. Oh crud! So I ring the doorbell. Only the TV is on and the folks are a wee tad hard of hearing. Get on the phone to brother Stephen and explain the situation. Fortunately he's only 5 minutes away. So while I'm waiting I check dad's car. It's unlocked, so I use the garage door opener. Sadly, the inside door to the house is also locked. Sigh. It's cold. Then Stephen shows up with key. Tomorrow I'm going out and making myself one.

Hopefully, you now have your own copy. Getting stuck out in the cold is no fun.
