The Tampara lake in Orissa is one of the biggest fresh water lake. It is close to Chilka lake in Orissa which is a brackish water lake. The good thing about Tampara lake is that the flow of the water are in the same direction like the sea. The sea which is Bay of Bengal has Gopalpur beach which is 15 kilometers away from this lake.

yes Jim there is a long stretch of yellow sand beach in Gopalpur.
