a urgent task interrupt my plan of trip on weekend,have to work overtime instead of trip

yesterday I received a urgent task,the leader inform me working overtime today.initially,i plan to have a trip this weekend,even i already bought train ticket ahead of time.however i have to apply for refund of ticket due to cancelling plan,and the system deduct 5% of train fares as processing fee. It really frustrated me,but no other choice,As a employee,work is prior to my personal things.Although i am reluctant,i am still working overtime today.dear mylotts,Did you meet similar case,will you cancel initial plan because of urgent task,are you frustrated under this circumstance?

I had to miss attending a Rush concert since I had to overtime at a pizza parlor in New Orleans a long time ago.

A lot of work in China is overtime. We can't help it. In order to find a job, we can only accept this reality

yes,but i think occasional overtime is normal,frequent overtime is unacceptable.After all,health is above all the things including money.

@zhangxueying ,so,did you have pay for extra work day,extra work day means Saturday.I think you should be paid for overtime,that is fair.
