Daily Un-Cluttering

My little apartment is so cluttered up with stuff. I cannot believe the amount of stuff that I have accumulated over the past 4 years that I have been here. Over the past few days, I have been trying to work on one little area in my place. Yesterday, it was one bag in my bedroom and, then, today, it was the bookshelf in the front room. I got rid of a bunch of old mail and outdated papers that way. I also straightened up the items on the bookshelf so that it would look more orderly. I'm going to sort through, straighten up, and get rid of items so that my place won't look so cluttered. I might even tell you about it here each time I do that. That way, I will have accountability.

Sure go ahead..It is amazing how much clutter can get out of control. I can be your clutter buddy if you want. Even though I didn't have a huge amount of time today, I could have made some time to declutter or clean and I didn't. I seem to have a lot of paper clutter.

One of the ladies in my knit group has a hard time getting rid of papers. Especially medical type papers. She has medical papers for herself and medical papers for the 7 cats that she has. She's not sure about how long she should keep them so she just keeps them all. She even has the medical papers in 3 ring binders to keep track of them.

It will be interesting. Do keep us up to date. Maybe I’ll be encouraged to declutter

Good for you! It doesn't take long for clutter to take over. It is a battle.

@bluerubymoon53 Just make a plan to clear it all and stick to your plan. Having someone to hold you accountable will also help you stay on track.

Good luck with the decluttering. With all the boxes I've been getting as of late, I feel like My house is becoming a store room. I need to declutter, too.

Where are you getting the boxes from? Mail deliveries? You can break them down, bundle them together and see if someone else needs them.

You should see what I have in the kitchen alone with three kittens, There is a little box they take turns sitting in and two bigger boxes they love to hide in and I have to walk around everything, I wish you luck with the decluttering,

I'm just going to do a little bit each day until I feel I have enough less clutter.
