While doing some responses for the discussions here in mylot, my laptop suddenly went out. Oh my God my battery was drained. I haven't checked my batteries earlier. I read that becoming drained will ruin whatever devices we are using. But I guess, a few won't hurt. After this, I will do my walking. Have a nice day ahead guys.

It can do damage to a battery if you make a frequent habit of it. However, it's good to allow batteries to drain completely sometimes, too.

@pahak627 Yep. It's perfectly okay. Some batteries recommend you drain them completely.

@kaylachan I was just a bit worried since my laptop is not really new. I acquired it over than two (2) years ago.

So that was not a big problem since I seldom have my batteries completely drained. Thanks for that info.

I wish I knew more about batteries, but I know these modern ones are far different than in the 80s, 90s, when batteries were more touchy as to charging

I also don't know much about batteries but somebody told that it sometimes good to allow batteries to drain completely. I was relieved.

@pahak627 I know back in the 80s when rechargable batteries were new - it was said that it was good to drain them completely before charging. Now I've read that some of these new batteries like a charge around 40 percent or so. I'm confused....
