Sunday afternoon, Tom Brady made his 600th touchdown pass against Chicago. The pass was to Mike Evans and he did what he usually does. This time however, it left us with our jaws on the ground. Mike Evans gave the 600th pass ball away to a fan in the stands. The fan...Byron Kennedy. He was amazing to give the ball back but the compensation that he got for it is what we're all talking about. Byron Kennedy recieved: 2 signed Brady jerseys a helmet 1 signed Evans jersey Evans game worn cleats..... but that's not all. He will also get: a pair of seasons tickets for the remainder of 21 and all of 22 $1,000 to the official team store There's a rumor that there was some bit coin involved as well. With all of that, all sprots announcers and morning hosts are saying that he should have kept the ball and negotiated better. Now, I'm a huge football fan and all that stuff up there is a dream. We all know what that ball is really worth. There's no illusion there. To ask for more or to make it about money just isn't a football fan thing. At least if you're a hard core fan. You don't have to be die hard to love to collect your teams stuff. I would take the autographed stuff and the tickets over money. I mean if you think about it, everything that they gave the man would be worth a lot if you really wanted the money. Just re-sell it. I don't think I could but it's an option for those that would prefer money over the memories. That's just me though. The guy was awesome to give the ball back and as you can see everyone involved was grateful. *picture from google
