THE VOICE
OMG, My husband watches this show. It irritates me to no end. I love music, but I can't stand singing competitions. They are always trying to one up each other with who has the most dramatic sob story. It is never just about the music. A couple of the judges are absolutely obnoxious. Plus I just don't like secular music. That is just me, though. OK, now I feel better since I have vented.
I know many must like the show. I am just not one of them.

Oh god I really hate dangdut. I know it's music that people around me often hear, but I still don't like it

@gnatsmom This show is just so wrong on so many levels. It’s rigged, each judge thinks it’s all about them, young people are manipulated, set up for a fall and made fools of so that the makers get even richer; it’s shallow, contrived and sends the message to young people that celebrity is the only worthwhile thing in life and being anything other than a celebrity is just rubbish. Competitors should really be at least 25 years old and be mature enough to know who they are and what’s what in life. But it makes a lot of money so …..

Yes, I agree. Music is art and should be a thing of beauty and expression. It should not be a battle.
