The level of political nastiness in this country just escalates and escalates. Hanging Obama in effigy, pretend cutting off Trump's head, etc. etc. And Facebook allows people to post the most blatant lies. The most recent one is a picture of Joe Biden with his wife Jill claiming that she was his babysitter and that he was messing around with her when she was underage and that he married her at 18 right after his first wife died. The problem is, this is easily fact checked. They met when she was 24 and married when she was 26, and they met several years after his first wife's death. Good grief, people. There are enough actual issues that we can talk about and disagree on or agree on, criticize factually, etc. Why do we need to make up lies, and why do people feel they need to spread them, deny they're false, etc.? Ugh.

As bad as it is now, I expect that it shall get worse. The trajectory that we are on as a country is not a good one.

I always check things like that when I see things about the President. Facts are easy to check.
