As per reports from Times of India, Manchester United owners, Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer, have filled the tender for new teams floated by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the cricket's English Premier League equivalent : IPL (Indian Premier League cricket).
(As per later reports they lost the bids).
The primary reason could be the big monies involved plus the good shows by many Indian players plus a lot of Cricket interest in South Asian British population.
I in fact saw this on some US Newspapers as well.
Now, that is some really good advertisement for Cricket!!

IPL is picking up popularity. It's a good news for cricket and cricket lovers. The two new teams are building up excitement too.
