As per reports from Times of India, Manchester United owners, Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer, have filled the tender for new teams floated by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the cricket's English Premier League equivalent : IPL (Indian Premier League cricket). (As per later reports they lost the bids). The primary reason could be the big monies involved plus the good shows by many Indian players plus a lot of Cricket interest in South Asian British population. I in fact saw this on some US Newspapers as well. Now, that is some really good advertisement for Cricket!! Source: MSN News plus Times of India news Plus this news item : In a way this answers some folks who always say that "Cricket is not Global! '
Manchester United's Glazer owners outbid for the two new IPL teams by CVC Capital and RPSG
