My personal opinion of euthanasia is that, people who are chronically ill without any chances of a cure should be given the choice to choose it or not.
I'm thinking that if I would grow too old and too sick and not able to wipe even my ass, I would prefer to rest in peace. This would benefit my family as well, because they would no longer be "troubled" in taking care of me.
At least, this way, I would know the exact date and time that I would go. This would de-stress me and I will be able to spend the rest of my days in peace.
What about you?
Is euthanasia approved for implimentation in your area?
Are you in favor of it?
Why?

In the US it’s not allowed no matter how sick you are. You can sign what they call a DNR which is if you heart starts you can not do intervention. If it’s in your will Doctors and family members are to respect it like you don’t want life support, you don’t want extreme measures, if your in a comma and have mo signs of brain function.
Personal myself I would rather my body give out. I’ll ride the pain out just give me pain meds. Which is what doctors and nurses will do to make you feel comfortable. Give you stuff to kill you is a crime and killing yourselves is also a crime. My kids got to see a good example last year. Their great grandpa both of them one has a stroke with a brain bleed is was able to choice for his me dot go home and let life do its thing. He wanted to be surround by family which he couldn’t if he stayed in the hospital. He wanted to go in his terms which he did. He lives week slowly going day by day. My grandfather his heart started to bleed and at his age they couldn’t do anything about it because surgery alone would have killed him. So him and my grandmother decided to let him stay in the hospital and for them to make him comfortable till his heart finally gave out. His other organs where already shutting down.

I understand. Yes, hospitals have the ability to make patients more comfortable and suffer less pain. If you can manage financially, but what if you're not?
It's good to have your family around during your last hours on earth. Thank you for your food for thought.

@ShyBear88 I see, it's quite different in our area because not all people here have health insurance.

@Jenaisle hospitals don’t worry about the money only the insurance company does. If a hospital thinks you need it they will give it to you with no communication with the insurance company.

Its not legal here. At least not yet. But it is another thing that I feel each person has to decide for themselves
