Second opinion

I am not sure how my doctor will react if he knew that I take a second opinion when he prescribes something I not only go on the Net I also talk about it with the Pharmacy where I get my medicines from.
Doctors prescribe depending on how close they are to the product manufacturers. They also sometimes try out the new medicines that have just come out.
Do you do that too?

Good for you. We have been consulting this doctor for years. He is good too but nothing like getting a second opinion. No harm I guess

That's absolutely fine and one should do it. We have to have the trust before we try out any treatment. I put a lot of questions to my doctor and pharmacy. And if not satisfied, I might seem opinion from other doctors. I don't rely on Internet at all

I do check with other sources and if my doctor doesn't like me getting a second opinion, I'll get a new doctor. But don't forget, not everything you read on line is accurate.

Everyone is free to seek for other people's opinion. Doctors can also commit mistakes.

@cacay1 right. There are good doctors and are licensed. There are also fake doctors practicing without a license.

Most doctors dont mind. The pharmisist knows more about the meds than the doctor does anyways

I think as a patient and as a consumer it is our right to buy products that will fit in our needs. Specially medicines. It wont be a problem I guess if you will discuss it honestly with your doctor because there may be medicines that is not fit for you or it may have side effects, the more that the doctor needs to know about that .

Doctors never tell you about side effects and that is the sad part.
