What the rubber bands were for...

One of them, anyway. As I explained to @RebeccasFarm in my previous post, like her we used to get rubber bands off of the newspapers and reuse them. Now that Dad, who was the only one who read the newspaper, is gone, I have no source of rubber bands; that's why I had to go out and get some this morning. Granted, I only needed one, but I'll wind up using the others eventually, or loaning them out or whatever. As for the one I used, it went around a box for "Samaritan's Purse/Operation Christmas Child", a project headed by Franklin Graham. Wednesday night the ladies there each took a box or more if they so chose and took them home to fill. This was part of the reason, as I mentioned in a recent post, that I went so bonkers/overboard at the Dollar Store. The instructions actually say to put a rubber band around the box when one is done filling it, and I didn't have any rubber bands, so...yeah.

Rubber bands don't seem to last as long as they used to. I save them when I get them on something, but too often when I go to use one it just snaps.

Somehow I wind up with a bunch of rubber bands and I don’t have any need of them.
