I am just talking to myself. I can't stand Teams that do not play defense. Cardinals only team that I root for that play defense well. If you that talented offensively. You should be at least that good defensively. They were saying Lakers Great on offense but their defense not very good. That is just lack of effort then, laziness. It drives me mad. As Paul Goldsmith says offense is exiting and fun, but everyone gets into a funk. You can always help your team on defense. Everyone focuses on offense but not many focus on defense the way they should. Its the one thing you can do to help your team win no matter how good you doing offensively. Amen

Always, very few times does a team win without playing at least a bit of defense, always exceptions to the rule, but most say for a reason great defenses beat great offenses. I am glad got a couple or responses.

Like they say, attack it is the best form of Defence similarly I would say offence is also another good way of self defence that one can do whenever feeling threatened.

To a point, tell that to the Chiefs, its different for them though since they have their players separate for offense and defense. Your point actually makes sense for them but sports you play both ways Defense keeps you in the games till your offense can get its act together. I like those type of teams, they usually have the most heart.

I would think you need good defense in any sport that you play.
