Brilliant rangoli and alpona with rice husk are given on Laxmipuja day.

On the day of Deepawali numerous Hindus after cleaning their houses, putting new curtains, decorate the houses with rice husk which is called alpona and also give rangoli with some colours. The floors are decorated and cleanliness creates a new atmosphere. Laxmipuja is celebrated during this day and the idols of Goddess Laxmi is given flowers fruits and sweets.

Yes and in Bengal Kali puja is celebrated on the day of Deepavali. The rice husk rangoli is given in Bengali houses. The North Indians give colorful rangoli.
