What are friends for?

Are they there for you to confide in or 'abuse' because only they can understand your personal quirks and defects? Are they fair-weather friends only? I miss my college friend who have accepted me, warts and all. and as I grow older, I miss the quiet eveining that we spent together just listening to each other's thoughts. I have no really close friends now. and you? Was there a best friend in your life that you cannot forget?
