Early this morning, while still in bed, the rain stopped. We even saw some sunshine. It was a little on the cold side, However, even with the wind, I was comfortable enough to wear one of my speggeti strap shirts. I just wore thicker shiorts, with deeper pockets for my keys. We checked out the new Publix, and took a little ride over the river. The wind made it choppy. We managed to save a little money, both there and ACE (where we bought replacment bulbs for our garage fixture. The house stayed at 74 (one degree lower than I'd been keeping it in the summer). Tomorrow, I'll find out if our van will auto-switch for daylight savings time.

I'm glad the weather was nice once it stopped raining. I forgot about the time change until I got up. I have a few clocks changed. I still have a couple more to change.

@just4him That's great. We have over nine clocks (including phones) and only about five need changed twice a year.

It is solidly sweater weather here now. However, despite my husband's inclinations, I don't yet consider it to be winter coat time yet.

@kaylachan Unfortunately, in the apartment, in feels stuffy. We have it set to heat, but it isn't running; however, I'm fighting the urge to switch on the air. We do have at least one fan in here in this mess of boxes and containers, but I'm not certain where, and it is all boxed up. It will be better once we can get moved out of here. I don't think that the next place should get so stuffy, and it will be nice to actually have stuff back out of containers. Of course, that won't be for a bit.

Oh, I know. You get used to highs in the 80's and when it goes below 70, you're going to get one person saying it's "cold".

We're entering our dry season, but it's still hurricane season for another month. So, there's still the odd tropical system or front we have to contend with.

That sounds like great weather! Was there a lot of flooding over there with all the recent rain? I read where the St. John river was likely to go over the banks.
