Baton Rouge resident Julia "Hurricane" Hawkins who is 105 years of age is one person who enjoys running on a track as the oldest runner in the history of the Louisiana Senior Games that were held at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond Louisiana on Saturday.
Julia who born in Ponchatoula Louisiana in 1916 credits her workouts as one reason that she lived as long as she has by following her passion of taking care of herself and running on tracks to stay healthy even though her vision is fading.
Julia insists she will still be running in track events for as long as she can since it is her passion.
I am sure that Julia knows the saying "Age is just a number."

God bless her. I am 30 years younger than she is; and I can no longer walk more than 50 feet.
