It is nice to see the members of the Sacramento Fire Department answer an emergency call from concerned citizens who saw a deer drowning in a canal near the American River.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon when the deer was drowning near a concrete canal that was near the river.
Credit goes to the response of the Sacramento Fire Department to arrive on the scene and rescue the deer using a water rescue boat to get the deer out of the canal and into dry land safely.
I am sure that the deer if he or she could speak to the firefighters, he or she would thank them for being there to save him or her from drowning before the deer went back home unharmed after taking a break.

I also want to thank the firefighters for their superb job of risking their lives to save animals and humans in need.

I'm SO glad they were able to rescue the deer. I would have been panicked if I would have seen that deer.

I can relate to your fear of a deer in trouble.
