In my country we will have elections soon. And I have come to realise that I will have to vote against someone instead of FOR someone. The world has become a very violent place and my country is suffering from that too. At 76 years of age, I decided that I´m too old to do anything besides going to vote, which already will be difficult as I have troubles in lines and waiting. The only thing I can do now is to help recycling and using small amounts of water. I will leave the rest for the next generaltion.

I often seem to vote against someone also. There is no good choices here either.

In my case, the person I prefer will not win. I don´t know if I should vote for her on the primaries.

@marguicha In the primaries I always vote for the one I like. But the final election is often against the one I think will be the worst

I've seen the next generation. That's what is causing problems for us in our apartment building. We're going to blow through 1.5 degrees. We're likely to blow through 2 degrees as well. We'll be lucky to stay within 2.5-3 degrees, and, at that point, the feedback loops may well continue to push us higher even if we humans stop causing problems. The smart people aren't optimistic.

It's good that you will be able to get out and vote. I am sorry for the unrest in your country.

There is so much to learn from our older generation… we are actually wasting the resources… Though I do consider voting to be a an important task But I do understand it’s tough

In my opinion, voting should be mandatory. It is a good alternative to shouting in the streets and throwing stones.
