Vaccine slot in school

We are indeed very lucky because my niece's school was able to secure vaccine slots for their students and one of them was my niece. Its for free and its a booster for the 5 in 1 shot MMR or the measles, mumps , rubella vaccine and the anti tethanus vaccine. Normally if our pediatrician will give the jab it will cost us 5,000 pesos but our pediatrician approved of it because its a rare chance that local government units will offer it to the public. It took place in the school grounds last saturday . A lot of students availed the slot because its for their protection and its for free. Another good thing is that, when my niece's school adviser texted us, they said that automatically the slot for the said vaccine is also the slot for the covid 19 vaccine for kids, we just have to wait for 2-3 weeks for my niece to get vacvinated with covid 19 vaccine. Amazing right? Schools will soon have a face to face scenario thats why kids must be protected and vaccinated. On the picture was my niece getting the jab .

@Deepizzaguy Exactly . And we have consulted our pediatrician first before making the decision. And he gave us a go signal .

Here in the U.S. some schools will give all necessary shots (mostly boarding schools) but insurance covers just about everything else for most families.

@kaylachan The Philippines has started giving vaccines to kids aged 12 and above just a month ago and is still ongoing. The priority is those with comorbidity .They are planning to open schools for face to face classes .
