I am despising Facebook right now

They have changed their rules for groups. If you have a public group, and you require approval for becoming a member and to make a new post, you didn't used to be able to post a comment. The only thing you could do is click "like" (and any of the other emojis that go with that). Well now you can comment on a post without being a group member and without having to be approved. So if you're in a political group, a bunch of people who oppose what your group stands for can come in and bombard you with opposing, and even nasty comments. So we are having to change our group to private, which takes 3 days before Facebook will allow it to happen, and I had to go in and delete a bunch of comments. The only upside is that if you go in and comment in a group you're not a member of, a moderator can block you, but what a pain. Thanks, Facebook!

I did not notice this change. I just belong to a particular group after erasing 500 plus groups that had nothing to do with me. It was a mistake to be honest.

It's like part of their plan to make things more divisive

Not positive when people are using it to attack people

With so much on their plate now I wonder if there's a lapse with the management side of the group or plain stupid idea to go with the group feature now.

No idea, but it's very annoying

Perhaps, it is the latest in the site's psychological experiments on users?

Possibly. We did find a setting that stopped it though
