A lot of stores do the same thing, but not on such a large scale. Wal-Marts also drive out small businesses and when they've cleaned out a town, they leave their Wal-Mart there too, empty and unrentable due to its size.
I don't generally shop at Wal-Mart though. There are a few stores that I won't shop at. I'd never shop at Petco.

Petco has recently invaded our city but I don't see any price wars yet.The side effects of a Walmart are plentiful (including the ones you mentioned)

Thank you for clarifying that.I did not realize the practises of Petco and I hope they pay you (and other previous and current employees) what is owed to you and change the mill-system.

Thanks for best response!
I didn't mean the price wars as much for Petco. I am sickened by their practices with pet mills and by how they treat employees. I am still owed over a thousand dollars from working there, as are many others I know. But I stopped shopping there before that. I don't buy stuff from Petco because their pets came from horrible pet mills and I can't support that.

I am ashamed to say that I would know where any product I bought was made or whether it was from a sweatshop or not. I look for the best bargains as I could not afford to buy something more expensive because it was not made in unpleasant locations.

We all try to make our money go as far as it can.Living on a tight budget sometimes means having to do things we may not normally want to do.I am a cheap SOB who buys only on sale anyways.Even WalMart does not make money on me.
