I Guess I Should Study the Search-Engine Algorithms (a little)

Doing a 'random web-search' (the kind Microsoft Bing tells all its Rewards-users to make), I tried out 'the first word of my BlogSpot-URL' (ByTheseWords); and I didn't even land anywhere on the first page of that search! (which is the only place anybody ever looks for their search-results ... I don't even know why search-engines GIVE more than one page of results!). Why wasn't my blog 'on the first page of results' there? It could be that "ByTheseWords (or 'By These Words')" isn't the "Title" of the blog, but there are other possible reasons. Well, looking-up "youtube watch later" (thinking it would take me to 'the Watch Later page of Youtube'), I run into all these webpages & videos on "How to Use Youtube's 'Watch Later'-page!" How does that work? Well, I remembered something a lot of SEOs (Search-Engine Optimizers) would talk-about a lot: The Algorithm (usually "The Google Algorithm," but there are probably Algorithms for Bing, Ecosia ... and that's all the search-engines I can think-of right now) Something to look at ... unless any of you know any 'secrets' to "high page-rank" ... https://sourcelinemedia.com/how-do-search-engines-rank-websites/

There are keywords and whatnot that the algorithms pick up on to elevate websites to higher positions on search engine lists.

Yeah; the address I gave didn't really 'uncover any specific formulas,' but it DID say that the main method of SEO is "building a high-quality site" and getting lots of "natural backlinks" (linking to other sites-etc. and hoping they return the favor).

@mythociate Part of the formula involves keeping sites up to date. If websites that are backlinked are not frequently updated, reciprocity can fail.
