On loneliness

Loneliness is basically the thought and the feeling of being left out and ignored by people.
When I visited Germany three years ago to take over a parish because the parish priest was sick, I felt really lonely. Walking the cobbled streets, I felt as though the hundreds of faces that passed did not really care whether or not I lived or died, whether I existed or not.
And I suppose they really didn't care one way or the other. It was then that I got lonely and my thoughts sped back to Malaybalay, my city in the Philippines. My mind became filled with the friendly faces of those I knew and cared.
Perhaps the most terrifying experience a man faces is that of knowing he stands alone. It is not being among enemies. It is being in the midst of people who are indifferent and just don't care.
It boils down to loving and to be loved. A man cannot survive without being loved.

That is one of the messages of the movie "Rocky V" when Rocky Balboa remembers what his former boxing trainer Mickey Goldmill told him that when everyone he knew passes away, the lonely feeling that sharing his knowledge of life is gone.

No one loves me,surely,it's very lonely and helpless.But i survive.As long as we don't give up the love and peace in our hearts,loneliness won't devour us.We finally will find our true friends in some ways.Maybe it's not human,but it could be the God,be the little animals,even be the flowers at your backyard.
It's not scary that no one loves us,it's scary that we lose the faith to the love and peace in our hearts.When that happens,even you're emperor and everyone loves you,you won't be happy.The loneliness finally will devour you
