I see this NIGHTLINE story about these disableds who are gaining ground for fellow disableds in the social-media & hollywood & drama landscape.
I hear they're doing it by 'leaning into their disability,' and I ... I just ...
WHAT ABOUT ME! Are they trying to tell me that I SHOULD'VE stayed a paraplegic mumbler? that I SHOULDN'T have worked to regain my speech? my legs? my arms? my control?
that THEN I'd have 'a huge following'? ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc7-8xgtAvA
I just have to remind myself that my health--though still below-average enough to be called "disabled"--is worth more than WHATEVER those 'DEEPLY disabled' disableds are mooching

The news media have their agenda what they see as newsworthy.

@marguicha I know how you feel since it feels like we are all living in an upside down world.

You don't understand what? ... what the news-story's about? what my problem with it is?
The news is about 'people with disabilities getting more-popular (mostly on TikTok, a little on YouTube & on television & in movies).'
My problem with it is that I struggled to get over my disabilities, and that is somehow NOT-AS-POPULAR as disabled's who remain disabled & rely on technology to carry them through life.

@Spontaneo 'celebrating recovery' is good (which is what I'm trying to do ... unlike the people in that story, who are celebrating 'accepting the permanence of their injuries or -disabilities').
I don't know about "Celebrate Recovery" (the company, or whatever); I'm just using the image I found on Bing.

Three TikTok creators correct misconceptions about the disabled community and discuss the importance of disability representation in all media.

@mythociate Just wondering as to your image of Celebrate Recovery. Is Celebrate Recovery good or bad?
