I think every mother should get a medal
Why? For being a mother, that is why. And that is not at all easy.
Perhaps the medal that should be given most often is the "purple heart'. That is what they give to soldiers wounded in action.
Mothers get wounded too.

Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs in the world. I never worried so much until I had children.Even when they are grown they are a worry.

@Junbals For most mothers it's inbred, we just can't help it. I became completely unselfish once I had children.

Though I was a bit pressured at the way my mother raised me I am thankful of what I have become now. Wherever she is I know she's watching us and she's proud of what we have accomplished and how we try our best to help other people. I may have not told her personally on how I love her but thanks to Hallmark greetings cards I sent her when I lived away from her. Mother's day, her birthday, Christmas, valentine's day greetings showing much love reached her. I miss my mother a lot.
