Oranges were always part of our Christmas Menu

As some of you know I have given Xmas parties to the kids and seniors over the years. Most of the time it was lunch and rarely it has been high tea but whatever be it I always added oranges. The smell or oranges when peeled and that too by so many filled the venue with that lovely aroma.

Oh yes, I remember you had those wonderful parties . . . a lot of planning and doing, but all worth the effort to fill the hearts of your guests. Orange scent is wonderful - it's also healthy and colorful !

@allknowing Ah - covid times have put a big damper on such gatherings. I hope you will still have oranges on your table .

Oh wow, that is too many. In our place, we have them before New Year's Eve to bring good luck as the Chinese say any round fruit can bring good luck when we have them on the table.

I love oranges. When my parents and grandparents were young, they received an orange or apple, a few unshelled nuts, and a sprig of raisins in their Christmas stockings.

I am imagining that smell of citrus coupled with delicious aroma of the foods to be served. It should add vigor to the occassion.
