Today we are having a telethon for children here.

Today and during 40 years, we have a telethon for handicapped children here. It started 40 years ago with Don Francisco as the head of the team . Every year the amount of money reached is bigger and children are helped all through the country. Even children from other South American countries are now helped. Many singers and people from the media from all parts of the world have helped along the years. I watch the TV after I give some money. Now it is easier as I can transfer it from my laptop. Years ago, I had to go to the Bank, but I still did it (along with lots of people). The telethon not only has helped directly with the children. New laws have come and now apartments have to have a ramp for wheelchairs and the street crossings cannot be made with stairs but only with ramps. There´s not a single person here who is not thankful for this man who could just stayed doing his job and getting rich with it but chose to help and had the means and the connections to do so.
