I just decided on that, just this week.
Still not sure how to go about it. I wanted to buy a 2nd hand one, but mom is quite against me learning how to bike because I am quite clumsy. I did promise her not to practice on the streets.
I just wanted to learn a new skill which can be useful in the future.
Hopefully she'll let me practice at our grandma's house since they some cemented backyard.
Any new skill you want to learn? Do you know how to ride a bike?

You should try practicing on BMX bicycle it is smaller good for starters like you.
don't try big bicylce like Mountain Bike it's painful if you crash.
go ahead with BMX it is smaller.

Are you trying to learn it by yourself, or do you have someone to help/guide/catch you?

@lady1993 There's a place here that says you can learn in just one session, 30-40 mins.

There are lots of places to learn how to bike, you don't even have to buy a bicycle at first but you could rent. If you are from Metro Manila you can bike, learn to bike in Quezon circle or if you are from the South of Manila you could try river park in Festival Mall Alabang near my city. You can plan a trip to Tagaytay and rent a bicycle there, I think it's also the place where they rent horses to ride.
Just plan your trips first and research since a lot has changed since the pandemic. I learned to ride, assemble and fix my own bicycle when I was a young teen.

@lady1993 True. They say the same thing about swimming and driving.

It's mainly balance. Just practice repeatedly and master the balance
